Need help? Lens types explained

From the options above, please choose the type of lenses you require putting in your frames.

Clear Lenses Popular and value for money, our basic clear lenses are good for all types of rimmed & semi-rimmed frames and prescriptions and come with anti-scratch coating as standard.

Polarised Lenses Align light rays from the sun, giving you a crystal clear view at all times. So whether it’s driving or participating in sports such as skiing, fishing or sailing, polarised lenses can really help.

Reactions Lenses These are at the forefront of photochromic technology. True all round lens offering protection against the sun in bright light and the freedom to drive at night as the lens is 95% clear in its natural state.

Transitions® Signature® Lenses Transitions® Signature® lenses are available in 3 different colours – grey, brown & graphite green. Completely clear indoors and at night. Fast fade back speeds. Blocks 100% of IVA & UVB rays. Available in almost any prescription and frame.

Transitions® XtrActive® Lenses Extra protection from light even in the car. XtrActive® lenses are designed to protect your eyes from the brightest sun and harsh artificial light. They darken behind the car windscreen to protect your eyes while driving. Hint of a tint to protect you from harsh indoor lighting. Blocks 100% of UVA & UVB rays. Designed to work with most prescriptions and frames. Available in grey, brown & graphite green.

Transitions® Drivewear® Lenses Daytime light and weather conditions constantly change while driving and so do Drivewear® sun lenses. Their Nupolar/polarization removes glare off the road and car bonnet. Transitions® photochromic technology adjusts the colour and tint of the lenses as light conditions change. Not suitable for night driving.

Tinted Lenses Fashion and sun tints. Available colours are brown, grey, green, blue, red and yellow. 3 standard density levels of 20%, 50% and 85% with 20% being light and 85% being dark. Graduated tints are also available in brown, grey and green. Percentage of tint starting at the top of the lens 20% to clear, 50% to 15% and 85% to 20% at the bottom of lens.
